#PetPower Night - A Different Kind of Care: Animals That Heal
Our annual pet-friendly networking event is back!

Hosted by MEP Petras Auštrevičius, the event takes place:
- on Tuesday 29 September 2026
- at the Representation of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia to the EU – Rue Montoyer 47, Brussels
- Our guest speaker this year will be Sanpa Dogs.
Founded nearly 50 years ago the San Patrignano Community has always viewed the human-animal bond as deeply meaningful and centres its main addiction rehabilitation activities around a dog shelter, Sanpa Dogs.
Young women in the programme rediscover themselves by caring for dogs that have come from dire circumstances. The women see themselves reflected in these new four-legged friends, in their wariness towards people, and their reticence to trust others, and in this way, they learn the true meaning of relationships, responsibility, and respect. At the same time, the dogs find a welcoming environment where they can regain their trust in people.
This journey of mutual support is immensely helpful for both parties, helping the women back into society and also promoting adoption of the shelter dogs.
At our event, you are invited to bring along your pet. Plus, there will be an opportunity to have a professional Pet Pawtrait taken by our excellent photographer.
In advance of the event, you are also invited to enter our ‘Best Buddies in the Brussels Bubble’ competition here. The winners of our two categories will receive €500 each to donate to their chosen animal-related charity. Find out more about the contest and how to enter here.
